2021 Chateauneuf du Pape

En fremragende Châteauneuf-du-Pape, der laves på næsten ren Grenache. Klingende ren karakter med sorte hindbær, brombær og et krydret element. Smagen er blød med stor smagsintensitet. Igen noter af sorte bær og en fin intensitet.

En helt unik Châteauneuf-du-Pape der fremstilles af 90 % Grenache og det sidste fordelt på Syrah, Mourvédre og Cinsault. Vinstokkene er plantet i den nordlige sektor af Châteauneuf-du-Pape på de to parceller Cabrieres og La Gardiole, hvor stokkene er op til 120 år gamle! Så gamle stokke sætter helt enestående druer, som opnår en fantastisk mostintensitet, der virkelig kan blive til stor vin. Et potentiale, Domaine de Ferrand i den gang forstår at udnytte.

 Vinen er kun lagret på store tanke og ser intet egetræ i lagringsprocessen.

“Lots of seductive floral and fruit aromas of stewed strawberries, dried lavender, and torched rosemary followed by wild bush and terra-cotta. A medium-bodied wine with silky fine-grained tannins. Bright acidity backbone gives delightful freshness and crunchiness to the mid-palate and finish. Beautiful concentration and focus throughout with layered spices. Drinkable now but it will develop gracefully with age."

As seen so often from this reliable producer, lively acids balance this wine perfectly, concluding with a long-lasting finish."
