Golden-yellow in color with a greenish shimmer, the 2012 Riesling Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Spätlese (White Capsule) displays a dense yet pure, fresh and spicy, stony/mineral bouquet of ripe and concentrated Saar Riesling aromas. Rich but very compact and tight on the palate, this has a high fruit concentration, lovely piquant acidity and firm tannin structure followed by bone dry taste. This is an intense and piquant, very aromatic but still young Bockstein with stimulating salinity and grip in the finish.
