Around 5 years of age. This is fresh, bright and juicy with nice citrus and apricot, as well as a hint of raisin, with a nice juicy complexity.

Showing well, aromas of ripe peach, candle wax and dried fruits with hints of walnuts. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, it's fleshy and elegantly satiny, with a lively core of fruit, nicely integrated sweetness and a nicely defined finish. This bottling, based on young Verdelho, is crafted to evoke the Rainwater Madeiras of the 19th century.

Fortified semi-dry (approximately 7.2 g/l of residual sugar) composed of 80% Tinta Negra and 20% Verdelho, with an average oxidative aging of 5 years in a canteen system in French oak casks. It stands out for its vibrant acidity and creamy texture, which encompass its candied and compote citrus and white fruits, giving the wine fluidity and balance. Captivating and pleasant to drink, it has a persistent finish, with hints of orange blossom and dried fruits. Perfect as an aperitif, preferably accompanied by olives and sausages.

Barbeito are relative newcomers to Madeira, having been founded in 1946. Representing the third-generation, winemaker Ricardo Diogo deliberately makes Madeira in a lighter style, inspired by late-harvest wines. This is a blend of Tinta Negra and Verdelho, aged in French oak. It has a pale orange-amber hue with aromas and flavours of fresh caramelised orange and dried apricot. This is offset by fresh acidity, with a touch of apricot jam richness on the medium-sweet finish.

Medium golden yellow. Restrained bouquet, subtle herbal spice, delicate hints of dried fruit, a hint of figs, and Turkish delight. Medium complexity, fine sweetness, subtle nutty aromas, and apricots on the finish. The perfect entry-level Madeira.
